Exhibit Design
Exhibit Design
In this project, we worked with designers and developers to create an interactive exhibit.
Our task for this project was to draw inspiration for a piece, collection, or theme from RIT’s Cary Graphic Arts Collection. We had to research our theme to see how it could inform our design decisions.
Our project is inspired by Matthew Leibowitz’s series of Protein For posters.
We designed around the ideas of: Protein for function, structure, resistance...not for energy.
There is no more information about this series anywhere online so our topic was very open-ended.
In the end, we created P4: an experience powered by a podium and colored balls. The user enters the space and places a colored ball on the top of the podium, a web camera reads the color and activates the corresponding environment.
